The Guinness Book of World Records is probably one of the most famous books throughout the world. Gaining an entry within its hallowed pages for many holds a certain kudos as it categories include some of the biggest, best, smallest, fattest, longest and most bizarre world record attempts that have ever been undertaken. Some of these records will take your breath away, some will amaze, and others will turn your stomach. Here are some of the weirdest.

Blowing a postage stamp 100 meters along the ground with a sloth attached to his neck

Ashrita Furman of New York, holder of the most Guinness World Records, also holds claim to the daftest. In 2010 he set a world record by blowing a postage stamp 100 metres along the ground with a Sloth, yes that’s right, a sloth hung around his neck. Mr Furman set the record in the corridor of the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena while on holiday there and came up with the bizarre idea after seeing the hotel's pet Sloth, Pepe. This was Mr. Furman's 277th world record.

Rubbing the most red hot chilies into your eyes

In April 2009 Anandita Dutta Tamuly of India attempted to enter the Guinness book of records by rubbing the world’s spiciest chili, the ghost Chili into her eyes. In two minutes she rubbed her way through 24 chilies. As strange and as stupid as it sounds, the feat was witnessed by TV celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay world renowned for his fiery temper.

The most T Shirts worn

This record is currently held by Croatian Krunoslav Budiselić, who is May 2010 wore 245 T shirts at once. The record was previously held by UK T Shirt Printing company, It Is What It Is, when Charlie Williams worn a staggering 224 T shirts.

The world's longest midget toss

This has to be one of the strangest records ever. I'm not sure if it can be classed as a sport and certainly not one you'd see at the Olympic Games but in 2002 Jimmy Leonard broke the record at the British Dwarf Tossing Championships. Jimmy managed to toss a midget called Lenny an amazing 11 feet 5inches.

Farthest distance jumped underwater on a pogo stick

Bizarre as it may sound by Ashrita Furman of the US holds the record for the farthest distance jumped underwater on a pogo stick. He set the record in August 2007 at a lengthy 512.06 metres. Some people just have too much time on their hands.
